Our great lakes and pristine coastlines are an integral part of the majestic landscape that is the African continent.
One can easily be excused for thinking this serene beauty does not pose a danger to coastal and lakeside communities and infrastructure alike. Left untreated, lake currents wreak havoc on local villages and social infrastructure surrounding the various bodies of water.
Annually, especially during rainy seasons, various lakeside communities are forced to allocate a significant portion of their limited financial resources to repair roads, homes and businesses damaged by the powerful lake currents.
Global Current Breakers Ltd was formed out of the deep desire to support local communities while retaining the natural beauty of the great lakes and coastlines.
Our aim is to provide a rapid, cost-effective, long-term solution to solve this perennial issue plaguing affected communities, saving valuable resources which otherwise would have been spent again next rainy season, which can instead be used for other social infrastructure to improve the lives and economy of the local people.
